With Every Inch

Cool, I just found my age-old poem!
I was asked to do a poem about valentines.
While others made poems about admiration, and how they are willing to do anything for him/her.
HERE IS MY PERSPECTIVE

I am 10 inches off the ground;
I can sneer at those from my high tower.
It is isolated, and no one can reach me,
And yet you break down the foundations,
until I am on the ground and on my knees.
My fingertips grab hold on to the walls of my collapsing tower,
and 9 inches of me perishes.
All that is left is an inch.
it is small, it is humble, it is strong.
It is mine to keep
and also yours to nurture.

You take me down to build me up again,
and with you I am a better person.

With every touch, I am yours.
With every height, you are mine.
With every inch, the sky is ours.
